Toyota Safety Sense includes a newly developed range of four active technologies - Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Prevention System, Automatic High Beam, Road Sign Tracking System - with the ultimate goal of minimizing road accidents.

The Toyota Safety Sense technology package keeps hazards at bay and passengers safe: The Pre-Collision system uses a camera and laser sensors to monitor the cars in front of you and to prevent or reduce the consequences of an accident; The lane departure warning system alerts you in the event that the vehicle deviates from the road; Automatic high beams make driving at night safer; A system for tracking and displaying road signs informs you of current restrictions. Thanks to all these active safety systems, Toyota Safety Sense helps to reduce the risk of accidents, which at the same time reduces insurance premiums and makes driving safer.

PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM

The Pre-Collision system, part of Toyota Safety Sense, uses laser sensors and a camera to detect possible preconditions for an accident with other cars or obstacles. It signals the driver via audio and visual signals. If it does not respond to warnings, the system automatically applies braking force to prevent or reduce the consequences of a possible collision.

LANE TRACING ASSIST (LTA)

Through a lane identification camera, the Lane Departure Warning System, part of Toyota Safety Sense, keeps the driver on the right track. It signals with audio and visual signals if the vehicle deviates from it without the turn signal on and leaves the driver to take appropriate action.

AUTOMATIC LONG LIGHTS

The automatic high beams, part of the Toyota Safety Sense package, optimize night visibility for all road users. A camera locates oncoming traffic, cars in front of you, and the ambient environment (such as street lamp light). They switch automatically from long to short and back for safer driving at night.

ROAD SIGN ASSIST maxresdefault

The Road Sign Recognition Assistant monitors and recognizes them on the road in front of you, displaying useful information about speed limits and overtaking prohibitions on the central TFT display. The system also reproduces audio-visual signals in case the restrictions are not observed.
